Introduction:
A threshold between worlds. Inspired by Japanese Noren (fabric dividers), this installation marks the transition between the domestic and the wild, the interior and the exterior. It creates a “space in between”—a pause where the viewer physically passes through the artwork, entering a new state of awareness.
Concept:
Zwischenräume (Interstices) explores the boundaries of space and nature. Using EcoPrint on cotton, the fabric bears the direct imprint of local flora, patched together to form a permeable barrier. The work invites movement; it is not static but activated by the wind or the body passing through. It questions how we define our territory and where nature begins.
