Introduction:
Gentle like snow. This portrait captures the paradoxical nature of cold: it can be deadly, yet also preserving and silent. The snow covers the body like a second skin, muffling the noise of the outside world and creating a moment of absolute stillness.
Concept :
In Gentle Like Snow, I investigate the aesthetics of silencing. Snow is often associated with purity, but here it acts as a medium of isolation. The body merges with the white landscape, losing its contours. It is a visual metaphor for the desire to become invisible, to dissolve into a greater silence. The work plays with the tension between comfort and emotional freezing.
