CABBAGE MIND – Conceptual Photography / Selfportrait

Introduction:
A head full of growth. Cabbage Mind is a surreal visualization of mental processes. The dense, organic layers of the cabbage mirror the convolutions of the brain—thoughts that proliferate, unfold, but can also constrict. It is a portrait of the sensation when inner nature breaks through to the outside.

Concept:
In this work, human intellect merges with plant matter. The cabbage (Brassica oleracea), with its fractal structure, serves as a metaphor for streams of thought. We often speak of being “rooted” or “blossoming,” yet here, nature takes control. The image questions the boundary between mind and body, culture and nature. Are we the gardeners of our own thoughts, or are we overgrown by them?
